TCAT JACKSON: SUBCONTRACTOR SOLICITATION EVENT
Montgomery Martin Contractors is currently seeking qualified subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for two upcoming projects with the Tennessee College of Applied Technologies. Current and potential Disadvantaged, Minority and Women-Owned Businesses are highly encouraged to participate. LEXINGTON REPLACEMENT CAMPUS
Project scope includes approximately 55,000 gross square feet of new construction to include new academic facilities, site development, parking areas, drives, and infrastructure improvements. The building will consist of educational spaces to accommodate technical college academic programs and required support spaces. The facility will include high and standard ceiling height laboratories, classrooms, covered storage, faculty, staff, and student support spaces. Laboratories will be designed to simulate a work environment for the practical applications of instruction and skill. This project is located on a new site in Lexington.
JACKSON REGIONAL WORKFORCE TRAINING CENTER
Project scope includes approximately 60,000 gross square feet of new work consisting of a Regional Workforce Training Center at the Jackson State Community College campus. Scope includes associated site development, parking areas, drives, and infrastructure improvements. The building will consist of educational spaces to accommodate technical college academic programs and required support spaces. Spaces will include high-bay and standard ceiling height laboratories, classrooms, storage, faculty and staff offices, and support spaces. Laboratories will be designed to simulate a work environment for the practical applications of instruction and skill.
ARE YOU A DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE?
For businesses wishing to qualify for DBE certification with the State of Tennessee, there is a two-step process.
In order to do business with the State, a business must be registered through Edison. The business must complete the registration process to be awarded or receive notifications when there are new solicitations. To learn more and begin the registration process, click the Edison Registration.
Once a business is registered through Edison, they may apply for DBE certification through the State of Tennessee’s Go-DBE System. For more information of the certification process, please visit the Go-DBE section of the State of Tennessee website.
